Social Media
At a time when many of our students are active on and influenced by social media, it is important that adults are aware of social media trends and "challenges" so that we can communicate clearly with students to help them avoid unwanted consequences of impulsive actions. Unfortunately, it seems that TikTok challenges continue to promote negative, and in some cases criminal behaviors. Please have a conversation with your student(s) regarding the negative impact these challenges could have on their futures and on the school community. These challenges break the school code of conduct and put others at risk. Some challenges encourage criminal behavior that would warrant the school contacting police. As always, we expect and work hard at making our school a safe place to be and learn. Our priority is to partner with families to keep our kids safe.

Fall 2021 Conferences
Conferences are fast approaching. We will continue to use the online tool for scheduling that we have used in the past known as PTCFast. Conferences will be virtual ONLY through zoom or by phone. Once you select a time for the teacher/s you choose, a zoom link will be sent to connect via video or the teacher can call you at your selected time.

  • Conference availability is on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Try the virtual link the teacher gives you prior to your scheduled time. There won’t be anyone on the other end, but to ensure its working.
  • Conferences will be held on Tuesday, Oct 19th and Thursday, Oct 21st from 4pm-7:30pm and Friday, Oct 22nd from 12:30pm-2:30pm

KHHS Fall Play
Night of January 16th by Ayn Rand November 11, 12, and 13 at 7:00pm Tickets are $8.00 and may be purchased at www.khps.org/pac.

Night of January 16th is a drama set in a courtroom during a murder trial where members of the audience are the jury. The court hears the case of Karen Andre, a former secretary to businessman Bjorn Faulkner, of whose murder she is accused. The play does not directly portray the events leading to Faulkner's death; instead the jury must rely on character testimony to decide whether Andre is guilty. The play's ending depends on the verdict voted on by the audience.
